Personnel Section is fundamental for Goa Milk Union because it support for managing the entire employee life cycle from hiring to retirement.

Objectives:-

  • The Main objective of the personnel Department is to support the Union to achieve the goals of the Goa Milk Union by effectively utilizing its human resources.
  • Main functions of the Personnel Department are as under:

i.)   Enable each Employee to make his/her maximum personnel contribution to effective working of the union.

ii.)  Welfare aspect (Arranging facilities of canteen, uniforms to workmen and other basic amenities)

iii.)  Supporting management for initiating activities like recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, arranging training and development in coordination with HOD of the Union.

iv.) Further assisting management in recruitment, like screening candidates, performing job interviews, conducting reference checks, sending employment offers/appointment letters etc.

v.) Updating and maintaining employee files, leave records, benefits and attendance records

vi.)  Assisting in payroll processing of the Empoyees.

vii.) Generating and submitting Personnel/staff related  reports as per requirement by higher Authorities./Government Agencies/Auditors etc

viii.)  Assisting management for maintaining discipline and initiating Disciplinary proceedings against Employees of the Goa Milk Union.

ix.) Helping management in the development and implementation of Personnel policies

x.) Liaisoning with Government authorities for ensuring Union compliance, building strong relationships with Government agencies and backing for the interest of the Union and its Employees.

xi.) Assisting HOD of the Goa Milk Union regarding compliance of Labour Laws, regulations and Government mandates related to Employment, wages, benefits and workplace safety.

xi.) Assisting HOD of the Goa Milk Union regarding compliance of Labour Laws, regulations and Government mandates related to Employment, wages, benefits and workplace safety.

xii.) Supporting Audit/inspections/inquiries conducted by Government agencies ensuring that all required documents is readily available with the support of all HOD.

xiii.) Assisting Account Department of the Union for full and final settlement of the Employees upon retirement/leaving the Goa Milk Union and also for other work as may be assigned by said Action.

xiv.) Assisting higher authority for conducting meeting of the COA/management of the Goa Milk Union from time to time.

xv.) Any other aspects/task as per the direction of the higher authorities including coordinating with Lawyers appointed by Union in legal matters of the Union and also appearing in person in some of such matters as per the direction of higher Authority.
